Objectives:
The event “Creative Shield: Understanding Copyright and IPR” aimed to educate participants about the fundamentals of copyright law and intellectual property rights (IPR). It focused on raising awareness about the importance of protecting creative works, including literary, artistic, musical, and technological innovations such as software and mobile applications. The session provided insights into the rights of creators, ownership rules, and the significance of copyright in fostering creativity and innovation. Additionally, it guided attendees through the copyright registration process in India, detailing the necessary steps, documentation, and legal requirements. By clarifying what can and cannot be copyrighted, the event sought to help individuals safeguard their intellectual property while avoiding infringement issues.
