Then puzzle games were played to test the thinking ability of the students followed by a quiz on Mathematical Structures. After that number forming activity was done in which students were asked to form 4 and 5-digit numbers which students enjoyed thoroughly. Later, Questions based on mathematics were asked from the audio and video clips on probability, and knot theory games. At last, students played a snake and ladder game in which questions based on Mathematics were asked to move the steps after rolling the dice. The session was highly interactive and energetic in which students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the session thoroughly.

On Day – 3 i.e., on 3rd August 2023, session started with creating awareness among students about Research Cell & Activities and explaining to students the importance of accelerated skill development and how to achieve it with the help of Research Cell. Dr. Nilakshi Jain explained the importance of developing skills and importance of having industry exposure. Dr. Namrata Kommineni provided a gist of the completed & ongoing projects under the Research Cell along with a bundle of opportunities to work along with the Research Cell. To lift the spirits of the students, interactive quizzes were held. SAKEC prizes were given to the winners. The sessions were well received by the students.

After a mesmerizing Phase-I of Students Induction Program held during 1/8/2023 – 4/8/2023, SAKEC team has organized activities to extend Phase- I of the Student Induction Program with more interesting sessions. In the first phase, students learned about the different opportunities from the Research Cell, the importance of Physical and Mental Health in life, and emphasized on the usage of Mathematics and Electronics. Now, the team has bundled a number of activities to not only create interest in the interdisciplinary nature of Physics and Chemistry, but also to focus on the Right Understanding for self-development with the available resources and understanding the relations and harmony to flourish in life.

On Phase I-Day 5 i.e., on 18th August 2023, a session on Engineering Physics was held. The events during the session were focused on the importance of Physics in Engineering. The session was conducted by Dr. Sushma Srivastava, Dr. Namrata Kommineni and Prof. Sowjanya Reddy. The session started with an introductory note on the need for Physics in Engineering. It emphasized upon strengthening the principles and concepts of Physics which serve as a gateway to understanding and implementing a broad spectrum of engineering applications. It was followed by a quiz competition, Draw-O-Physics session, Physics Puzzle and Dumb charades. These activities had an interactive session which clearly exhibited the importance of physics principles in Engineering applications.

The next session was on ‘How Good is your English’ topic, conducted by Ms. Sharmila G. The session kick started with a humorous video related to accuracy in English Language and vocabulary. The next activity was a group activity on an incomplete theme titled, spin a yarn where Students were given enough time to complete the story in their own way. After spinning the yarn each group was given 5 mins to enact the story on the Dais. The purpose of the activity is to make students interact with each other and also make them get rid of the phobia of speaking. The last activity was a one with a video of Gaur Gopal Das on ‘How to be an effective communicator’. The session concluded with the National Anthem.

On Day – 6 i.e., on 19th August 2023, sessions on Engineering Chemistry and Right Understanding – Strength of Piggy Bank were conducted.

In the first session of Fun With Chemistry, Dr. Archana nath welcomed the students with a hidden message which appeared on spraying NaOH solution. Interaction with students was done to know their view on chemistry in daily life by using word clouds and open-ended questions. Later, chemistry experiments were demonstrated by Ms Megha Kurhade and Mr Prakash Yewale to the students’ which they enjoyed thoroughly. Ms Neelam Jagtap and Ms Radharani conducted an interesting game on chemistry to create awareness that learning can be a great fun. This was followed by a video on Molecular shape of you & the chemistry song. The session concluded with prize distribution.
