Event Description	Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, envisages a Digital India to bridge the digital divide in our country and further promote digital literacy in order to make development a comprehensive mass movement and put governance within everyone’s reach in India. In order to work towards our PM’s vision, Smart India Hackathon (SIH) has been created. It is a unique Open Innovation Model for identifying new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country. It’s a non-stop digital product development competition, where problems statements can be posed to technology students for innovative solutions. It can help to, -Harness creativity & expertise of students -Spark institute-level hackathons -Build funnel for ‘Startup India’ campaign -Crowdsource solutions for improving governance and quality of life -Provide opportunity to citizens to provide innovative solutions to India’s daunting problems The previous all editions of SIH proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation, out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.
SAKEC Achievments in SIH 2017	Total 05 teams participated in Grand Finale out of which 1 team won Best Innovative Award.
SAKEC Achievments in SIH 2018	Total 08 teams participated in Grand Finale out of which 1 team won 2nd Runnerup Prize worth Rs.50000/- and another team won Special Ministry Award.
SAKEC Achievments in SIH 2019	Total 02 teams participated in Grand Finale out of which 1 team won 1st Runnerup Prize worth Rs.50000/- .
SAKEC Achievments in SIH 2020	Total 04 teams participated in Grand Finale out of which 2 team won Prizes worth Rs.1,75,000/- .
