FDP on Salesforce Platform Developer-I

The Computer Department, SAKEC in collaboration with ICT Academy organized a short term training program on “Salesforce Platform Developer-I” from July 22-26, 2024. Resource person for the training was Ms. Saba Amir Shaikh, Technical Trainer – Training and Development, ICT Academy. Total 33 participants attended the training.

Objectives:

2 Salesforce Platform Basic: Get introduced to the platform, navigate use cases, and build custom functionality.
3 Trailhead Playground Management: Create hands-on orgs, practice your Salesforce skills, and complete Trailhead challenges.
4 Data Modeling: Give your data structure with objects, fields, and relationships.
5 Formulas and Validations: Tailor your apps without writing code by using point-and-click logic.
6 Lightning App Builder: Build custom pages for Lightning Experience quickly with point-and-click tools.
7 Data Security: Control access to data using point-and-click security tools.
8 Approve Records with Approval Processes: Ensure that critical records are reviewed by the right people at the right time.
9 Apex Basics & Database: Use Apex to add business logic and manipulate your data in Salesforce.
10 Apex Triggers: Write Apex triggers to perform custom database actions.

The participants were able to solve the challenge on the discussed topics above. It is observed that participants improved on solving challenges session-by-session. All participants have enthusiastically solved all challenges and submitted the solutions online on Salesforce link. This will in turn help faculty members to guide the students doing projects and work as Salesforce Platform Developer in a systematic way.

Linux Server Administration

Department of Electronics and Computer Science and Department of Computer Engineering, SAKEC successfully organized an ISTE Approved One-week STTP on “LINUX SERVER ADMINISTRATION” from 2nd January to 7th January 2023. The program was inaugurated by renowned chief guests Dr. Sangeeta Joshi from Mumbai University. The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Ramesh Kharat founder of Prior Web Technologies.
This STTP was open to all students, Professors and Professionals. The STTP was attended by 66 participants. This STTP included lecture and Hands on sessions by esteemed speakers from Industry. The core of this STTP was to get skilled in Linux Administration and to build in-depth knowledge related to various fields of the Linux administration.
The STTP was coordinated by Ms. Shilpa Kalantri, Assistant Professor, Computer Engineering Department and Ms. Anita Nalavade, Assistant Professor of Electronics & Computer Science Department.
On the primary day of the STTP i.e., 2nd January 2023, the session was conducted by Ms. Suhasini Shere assisted by Mr. Megh Agarwal (Industry expert). The session started with Introduction about Linux, its features, and Types of Operating System & overview of IT Infrastructure components and applications of Linux followed by Hands on training session. Session also covered how to set up Operating System Environment. Live project examples and training had shared by the resource person.
On the second day of the STTP i.e., 3rd January 2023, the session covered how to assign permissions in Linux, what are Read, Write and Execute commands. How to assign ownership with help of commands. The resource person also gave demo on Access Control List, how to assign special Permissions in Linux followed by Compression and Decompression techniques, how to create Users, how to create Groups and assign its parameters.
On the third day of the STTP i.e., 4th January 2023, session started with user management in Linux. Set, edit, and delete new permissions was discussed and executed. Commands for special permission to the user and setting restriction by the root user itself is taken with hands on session. Connecting VM to the public network and installation of library from public network was discussed and executed. The resource person also give demo on advance user management followed by bottle neck command and tune profile discussion with the hands-on session.
On the fourth day of the STTP i.e., 5th January 2023, session started with Advance user management in Linux. Commands for Changing owner of a file, sudo authentication etc. was discussed and executed with hands-on session. Basic Linux networking is discussed with examples. The resource person covered network configuration in Linux, various Linux networking commands is discussed with practical examples and hands-on session. Basics of Process management is discussed and executed.
On the fifth day of the STTP i.e., 6th January 2023, trainer covered various topics such as DAEMON, process Management and YUM repositories Linux. The resource person covered Hard Disk Geometry and Hard Disk Partitioning with practical examples and hands-on session.
On the sixth day of the STTP i.e., 7th January 2023, trainer covered various topics such as Containerization and Managing Containers using Podman container Engg. In Linux. Live project examples and training had shared by the resource person. The session was ended with Quiz.
Both the resource persons responded to all the queries patiently! Overall, the session was very interactive!! Everyday session was ended with questions and answers and feedback of participants.

STTP on Digital forensics


Computer Engineering Department of Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College in association with IIC 5, has organized a 3 Days Short Term Training Program on Digital Forensics from 8th February 2023 to 10th February 2023. This Training program is aligned with the Departmental Optional course -CSL8022:Digital Forensics Lab of Mumbai University syllabus (Rev – 2019 ‘C’scheme). STTP has covered – Hands-on Training on Tools like FTK Imager, Autopsy, Network Miner etc, Kali Linux tools used for the acquisition and analysis of digital evidence , Web Browser Forensics, Email analysis, Volume Forensics, and Data Carving and training on Burpsuite and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Tools

This STTP was open to all students, Professors, and Professionals. The STTP was attended by 58 participants. Hands-on sessions were conducted by Dr. Vidyullata Devmane, Associate Professor and Vaishali Hirlekar, Assistant professor from Computer Engineering College. The core of this STTP was to get skilled in tools and techniques required to perform digital investigations using groundbreaking digital forensics technologies.

STTP on Blockchain Technology and its Application’s

Blockchain Technology is an emerging technology suitable for decentralised and transactional sharing of data across a large network of untrusted participants. It is an innovative distributed ledger technology where verification data for the transactional records is cryptographically secured against tampering and stored in blocks. This technology is successfully used in Bitcoin virtual currency and it also has good potential in non-financial sectors such as Governance, healthcare, cyber security, automobiles, media, travel,hospitality, energy, smart cities, time stamping, logging of important events in a system,recording transactions, etc.

Considering the growing importance of Blockchain Technologies and its potential in different sectors, Computer Engineering Department of SAKEC has organized ISTE Approved One week Short Term Training Program on Blockchain Technology and Its Applications from 11th July 2022 to 16th July 2022 for Faculty, Research scholars, Industry person & Students.

Mr. Vikash Kumar, Corporate Expert in Blockchain had conducted Introduction on blockchain, Decentralized System & Distributed Ledger Technology and discussed Real Time Use Cases in Blockchain during the session. Mr. Debrup Chatterjee Corporate Expert- Blockchain had given hands-on demo with Hash, Merkle Tree and P2P transaction in Blockchain. He also discussed Smart Contracts in Blockchain, various use cases of Smart Contracts and also conducted demo of Smart Contracts. Mr. Soham Zemse, Corporate
Expert- Blockchain had given hands on demo on solidity Programming. At the end of the Technical Session Mr. Vikash Kumar had discussed different case studies in Blockchain.
Throughout the STTP, participants got deep insights into several aspects of Block chain Technology.This workshop is intended to provide opportunities for educationalist, researchers,professionals and students to upgrade their knowledge in the area of Blockchain Technology.

Network Security & Ethical Hacking

Department of Computer Engineering had organized a 3 Days Workshop on “Network Security & Ethical Hacking” during 27th-29th May 2015. The event was Coordinated by Prof. Sonali Bhutad, Prof. Manoj Dhande. The session was conducted by Prof. Dayanand Ambawade, SPIT, Mumbai.

Cloud computing and Big Data Analytics

Department of Computer Engineering had organized a Short Term Training Program on “Cloud computing and Big Data Analytics” during 1st to 11th December 2015. The event was Coordinated by Prof.Dhara Kalola, Prof. Jaya Fulekar . The session was conducted by Mr. Yati Gharat, Dr. Deven Shah , Ms. Amita Dhainje,Capgemini, Dr. M. Vijayalakshmi, Mr. Jayanthi Gokhale, Dr. Amiya Kumar Tripathy, Mr. Bhushan Jadhav, TSEC and Dr. Subhash Shinde.

Internet of Things and Its Applications

Department of Computer Engineering had organized a Short Term Training Program on “Internet of Things and Its applications” during 2nd to 7th January 2017. The event was Coordinated by Prof.Vidyullata Devmane, Prof. Shahzia Sayyad . The session was conducted by Dr. Surya Durbha, Prof T. M. Bansod, Mr. Bhanwar Bishnoi, Prof Sapna Prabhu, Mr. Jayanthi Gokhale, Dr. Vinit Kotak, Mr. Hrushikesh Sherlekar, Mr. Suryakant Sawant Mr. Saurabh Suradhaniwar and Dr. Subhash Shinde.

Data Analytics with Python and R

The Short Term Training Program on the “Data Analytics with Python and R” was organized by Computer Engineering Department from 01/01/2018 to 06/01/2018. The event was coordinated by Prof. Vaishali Chavan and Prof. Bhakti Sonawane. The STTP was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest – Keynote Speaker, Dr. Pradeep Pendse (Dean, E-Business/Business Design, WE School), Principal, Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Vice Principal, Dr. V. C. Kotak, I/C Head of Department, Prof. Uday Bhave in the 4th floor auditorium. were present in the inauguration ceremony. The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Pradeep Pendse. Mr. Jayanthi Gokhale, Dr. Sasikumar M., Mr. Jayakrishan M, Dr. Rekha Ramesh, Dr. M. Vijayalakshmi, Mr. Vishwanath Shekhar, Prof. Uday Bhave , Dr. Subhash Shinde, Dr. Kuldeep Kurte conducted lecture and hands-on sessions on different topics related to Data Analytics, Python and R.

Web Technologies – New Trends

Computer Engineering Department of the Institute organised AICTE-ISTE Approved and Sponsored STTP, “Web Technologies – New Trends” from 02/07/2018 to 07/07/2018. The program received the overwhelming response from several states of the country. From 150 registered candidates 40 for sponsored seats and 16 candidates for non-sponsored seats were selected to attend the program. The program was inaugurated by renowned author Mr. Achyut Godbole, who also delivered the keynote address. Mr. Achyut Godbole’s keynote speech was a great attraction for the Engineers. The excitement to hear him was so much that the separate registration had to be started for those who wanted to come only for speech. Professors from different engineering colleges of Mumbai and professionals working in different software industries came to attend his lecture. Eminent speakers, Mr. Jayanthi Gokhale, Prof. Bhushan Jadhav, Mr. Nilesh Vidhate and Mr. Anil Patil from reputed Software Companies and Engineering Institutes conducted the hands-on sessions on HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery, MongoDB, XML, Laravel and Ajax.

Natural Language Processing – Novice to Pro

Computer Engineering Department of SAKEC successfully organized an AICTE-ISTE approved one week STTP on “Natural Language Processing – Novice to Pro” from 2 nd to 8 th January 2020. The program also included course orientation on behalf of Mumbai University on the last day. The keynote was delivered by Dr. Biplab Bannerjeee (Faculty, IITBombay).
The sessions were conducted by eminent speakers from premier organizations like IITBombay (Dr.Ramkumar Rajendran, Mr. Girish Ponkiya and Ms Manasi Kulkarni), CDAC (Mr. Prakash Pimpale), Mumbai University (Dr. Sharvari Govilkar) and Industry (Dr. Jayanti Gokhale, Mr.Vikash Kumar, Mr. Basant Joshi) who had an expertise and experience of working in core NLP area. The workshop covered all concepts from basics to advance applications in NLP supported by hands-on training in Python and relevant NLP tools. The participants were experienced teachers and students from various colleges from Mumbai University.

Technical Content Writing and Copyright

Computer Engineering Department of SAKEC successfully organized an ISTE Approved one week STTP on “Technical Content Writing and Copyright” from 28/06/2021 to 03/07/2021 with Aspire Research Foundation, PUNE. In the program 35 participants have registered and been involved in the writing technical contents and copyright procedure as guided by eminent speakers. All participants have submitted their papers to the experts for feedback. It is observed that participants were able to improve on abstract, introduction, literature review, result and analysis, and conclusion sections of the papers.
The participants were able to write papers using the LaTex tool and understood the step by step procedure for Copyright registration.

This will in turn help faculty members to guide the students doing projects and research work in a systematic way. The participants were experienced teachers and students from various colleges. As a outcome of the program, the Computer Engineering Department of SAKEC have registered 23 literature work successfully.
