Objective:
To provide opportunity for participants to enrich their knowledge and skill in developing various projects for solving engineering problems in society.
Target audience: TE and SE Students ( EXTC & Computer Branch)
Electronics & Telecommunication Department and Computer Engineering Department in collaboration with IIC 5.0 organized a one day workshop on IoT Masterclass (NodeMCU -ESP8266) on 4 th March, 2023 from 9.30 am onwards.

Each team was provided with the IOT kit which contained the following items:
- ESP8266 node-MCU
- Micro USB
- LED
- Temperature and Humidity Sensor (DHT11)
- LDR sensor
- IR Sensor (HW-201)
- Breadboard
- Jumper wires
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to computer interaction.
The workshop involved the concepts to be taught to the students:

SESSION 2: Sensors & Its Interfacing with ESP8266 NodeMCU
- Introduction to Sensor Modules
- IR Sensor Module ( HW-201)
- LDR Sensor Module
- Temperature & Humidity Sensor Module (DHT-11)
- Sensors Interfacing With NodeMCU ESP8266
- Detecting Objects Using the Infrared(IR) Obstacle Sensor With NodeMCU ESP8266
- Interface LDR module with NodeMCU ESP8266
- Interfacing of DHT11 Sensor With NodeMCU ESP8266
