“IoT-Masterclass (NODEMCU-ESP8266)” March 2023

Date: 4th March 2023

Time: 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

Objective:

To provide opportunity for participants to enrich their knowledge and skill in developing various projects for solving engineering problems in society.

Target audience: TE and SE Students ( EXTC & Computer Branch)

Electronics & Telecommunication Department and Computer Engineering Department  in collaboration with IIC 5.0 organized a one day workshop on IoT Masterclass (NodeMCU -ESP8266) on 4 th March, 2023 from 9.30 am onwards.

Resource Person: Prof. Amisha Dhawal Bhoir (M.E. EXTC)

No. of students participated: 32

Each team was provided with the IOT kit which contained the following items:

  • ESP8266 node-MCU
  • Micro USB
  • LED
  • Temperature and Humidity Sensor (DHT11)
  • LDR sensor
  • IR Sensor (HW-201)
  • Breadboard
  • Jumper wires

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to computer interaction.

The workshop involved the concepts to be taught to the students:

SESSION 1: Introduction to IoT

  • What is IoT?
  • Basics of NodeMCU ( ESP8266)
  • NodeMCU Compatibility with Arduino IDE
