About
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff. It aims to establish a robust I&E ecosystem through activities such as:
- Ideation & Problem-Solving
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development
- Design Thinking & Prototyping
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness
- Project Handling & Pre-Incubation Support
IIC-SAKEC ensures a structured and impactful approach to innovation by:
- Increasing participation in innovation-driven activities.
- Engaging students and faculty in entrepreneurial ventures.
- Strengthening leadership involvement in I&E initiatives.
- Optimizing institutional resources for startups and research.
- Promoting collaboration across departments for a thriving ecosystem.
- Through workshops, hackathons, mentorship, and industry collaborations, IIC-SAKEC empowers young innovators to turn ideas into successful ventures, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and technological advancement.
Objective
- Promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion ecosystem in the campus
- To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bounded fashion.
- Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
- Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
- Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
- Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
- Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini challenges etc., with the involvement of industries.

Achievements
IIC-SAKEC has proudly collaborated with D.A.R.C. (DeepCytes Advanced Research in Cybersecurity) to enhance cybersecurity learning and innovation. As part of this partnership, a dedicated cybersecurity lab has been established within the college, equipped with D.A.R.C.’s proprietary software, hardware integrations, and KALI LINUX for hands-on training. This initiative provides students with cutting-edge cybersecurity education, practical exposure, and industry-relevant skills. Additionally, IIC-SAKEC has signed an MoU with DeepCytes, further strengthening opportunities for research, training, and career development in cybersecurity. This collaboration marks a significant step towards building a strong cybersecurity ecosystem at SAKEC.
