Our recent event explored the core concepts of Machine Learning, neural networks, and deep learning, with participants actively experimenting with AI-generated content and enhancing their prompt engineering skills. Mr. Kaiser Momin and Jishanahmed AR Shaikh, brought their expertise to the table, shedding light on real-world GenAI applications. A comparative deep dive into DeepSeek and ChatGPT added valuable perspectives, and an interactive quiz wrapped up the session on an engaging note.

Flutter Flow: From Ideas to App

The CSI-SAKEC student chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Engineering and SAKEC-IIC 7.0, successfully organized an event, “Flutter Flow: From Ideas to App,” with speaker Prashant R Dalai.

Participants explored Flutter’s core concepts, cross-platform capabilities, and industry adoption. Then, Prashant Dalai demonstrated FlutterFlow’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface for UI design. The session also covered app structuring, seamless page navigation, and best practices for creating efficient and visually appealing applications.

Django: The Web Developer’s Toolkit

CSI-SAKEC, in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department and SAKEC-IIC 5.0, hosted a two-day workshop titled “Django: The Web Developer’s Toolkit” on March 31st and 1st April, 2023. The event was conducted by Mr. Harshal Dave, Mr. Aditya Pai, Mr. Soham Bhoir and Mr. Hussain Pettiwala. The speakers provided participants with hands-on experience building their own todo list using Django on VS code. Certificates were awarded to participants upon completion of the event, and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants expressed a desire to be involved in future CSI SAKEC events.

CODE OFF DUTY: SEASON 2

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department, SAKEC-IIC 5.0 and AlgoZenith organized an intercollegiate coding competition – “CODE OFF DUTY: SEASON 2” on 17th February, 2023. The competition took place on HackerRank platform and was open to all individuals who are currently enrolled in an educational institution. Participants were given 1 hour to showcase their coding skills by solving five intriguing problem statements. They had the freedom to choose any HackerRank-supported programming language, such as C, C++, Java, Python, and more.

IoT: Imagine, Build, Connect

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department and
SAKEC-IIC 5.0 organized a workshop on – “IoT: Imagine, Build, Connect” on February 13th, 2023. The event was conducted by Ms. Kshitija Bhise.

In the session, the speaker gave an introduction to IoT (Internet of Things) and led the participants in a hands-on activity where they were given kits to experiment with and create their own models. Participants received step-by-step guidance, and by the end of the workshop, they had created two working models and gained valuable experience in IoT.
The session ended with amazing feedback from the participants. The participants
showed great interest in the work endeavors and are keen to be a part of the future
ventures undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

Study Abroad Fair

Computer Engineering Department in association with Training and Placement Cell, CSI SAKEC, and IEEE SAKEC successfully conducted Study Abroad Fair on October 12th, 2022. The event was conducted by Mr. Anand Gulhane from Vision International and Mr. Salil Gupta, representing the University of Arizona.

The Speakers ,through this event gave the students , knowledge about universities and their campuses abroad.They help the students to know about post- study,course shortlisting, criteria of the universities and also to understand best ways of acknowledging the opportunities available for the students planning to go abroad.

Representatives of esteemed universities from the US and UK visited the campus to give knowledge of universities and their campuses abroad. Mr. Salil Gupta, representing the University of Arizona, mentioned numerous specialized programs, student life, entry qualifications, and academics offered by the University of Arizona.

Mr. Anand Gulhane from Vision International candidly answered queries related to applications, visas, student loans, accommodation, scholarship opportunities, and various
specialized programs offered by Vision International.

This event helped participants gain knowledge about different opportunities available for traveling abroad, accommodation, student loans available, and other various programs. Also, participants had a one-on-one interactive question and answer session at the speakers’ panel.

Online Event and a Coding Competition “AlgoConnect”

CSI-SAKEC, in collaboration with the AlgoZenith student Community, organized an online event and a coding competition “AlgoConnect” on the 1st and 2nd of October, 2022.

On day one, Mr. Vivek Gupta guided his viewers and answered all queries related to competitive programming on his YouTube live stream.

On day two, the competition (CodeZenith) was held on the AlgoZenith platform. Participants had 2 hours to solve five problem statements. They were given the freedom to code in any language like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. The winners were awarded with certificates and goodies from AlgoZenith.

This event helped the students code with better knowledge and new skills. Students learned new ways to code for a given logic and improved their problem-solving techniques.

The competition ended with great feedback from the participants. They showed considerable interest in future sessions undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

Open Source Programing

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department and SAKEC-IIC 5.0 organized an event on – “Open Source Programing: Unleashing the Power of Collaboration” on January 25 th , 2023. The event was conducted by Mr. Neel Shah and Mr. Smit Sekhadia.
The speakers gave an idea about Google Summer of Code(GSoC) and brought to our knowledge the various parameters and prerequisites required for GSoC. Benefits of GSoC and its goals were also discussed. This event provided an opportunity for the participants to learn new technology and improvise their existing skills.
Participants also got to learn how to expand their circle of connections and upgrade their communication skills. The session ended with amazing feedback from the participants.
The participants showed great interest in the work endeavors and are keen to be a part of the future ventures undertaken by CSI- SAKEC

Level Up Creative Coding with P5.js

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department and SAKEC-IIC 5.0 organized an event on “Level Up Creative Coding with P5.js”on January 20 th , 2023. The event was conducted by Mr. Aditya Sawant.
The speaker taught various basic programming concepts such as variables, functions, loops, manipulating shapes, creating interactive designs etc. Participants made small projects like creative designs and wall art where they were taught how to make different patterns in one frame by dividing the frame into parts. All these topics were taught on Visual Studio Code.
The session ended with amazing feedback from the participants. The participants showed great interest in the work endeavours and are keen to be a part of the future ventures undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

CSI Industrial Visit

CSI-SAKEC Organized an Industrial Visit to Igatpuri-Nashik, from September 30th to October 1st, 2022. 101 students and 6 faculty members were on board for the industrial visit to Igatpuri – Nashik.
Objective of the session was:
To get exposure and real-life experience in the functioning of the industry.
To initiate team-building activities among students and development of students’ various soft skills.
To impart practical knowledge to students and the knowledge of industrial environment and setup.
To get familiar with new places and their attractions.

Overseas Education Information Series 2022

The Computer Engineering Department in association with Training and Placement Cell, CSI-SAKEC, and Vision International had successfully conducted Overseas Education Information Series -(7th March 2022 to 11th March 2022) with esteemed universities from the US, UK, and Australia.
On the primary day of the Overseas Education info Series, esteemed international speaker Ms.Apurva Salvi from the University of Arizona, USA have mentioned numerous specialized programs offered by the University conjointly the} stipulations for the same. She had also discussed the queries relating to the application, scholarship, eligibility, internship, placement, and a degree in the university.
On the second day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e., 8th March 2022, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, a motivator and an exceptional speaker representing Monash University, Australia, very candidly discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She also self-addressed the queries of attendees relating to the applications, scholarships eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs throughout this pandemic situation.
On the third day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e 9th March 2022, Ms. Mrunali Kulkarni had discussed various specialized programs offered by the Vision International Process Webinar, information related to visas,s and the prerequisites for the same was discussed. They also very candidly answered the queries relating to the application, scholarship opportunities, accommodation, eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs.
On the fourth day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e., 10th March 2022, Ms. Pinky Desai, a motivator and an exceptional speaker representing Monash University, Australia, very candidly discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She also self-addressed the queries of attendees relating to the applications, scholarships eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs throughout this pandemic situation.
On the last day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e. 11th March 2022, our Esteemed speaker Mr. Mohammad Shaikh, had discussed various specialized programs offered by the Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, and the prerequisites for the same. He had also discussed the queries in a very detailed manner regarding the application, scholarship, eligibility, on / off-campus job opportunities, internship, placement, and the degree in the institute during this pandemic situation.

Gateway to GRE

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department had organized an event – “Gateway to GRE” on 7th April ,2022. The event was conducted by Mr. Rahul Bhat – Sr. Counsellor and Trainer – rahulb@imperial-overseas.com and Mr. Anil Kulkarni – Head Verbal Trainer/ Counselor – anilk@imperial-overseas.com Objective of the event was: •GRE Exam Structure •GRE scholarship test •Solving test questions The participants showed active participation during the ‘question and answer’ session and got to learn new competency skills. The event ended with the delivery of a vote of thanks, which expressed our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the speaker’s efforts. “CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized a 5-day online workshop for learners on “Tableau – Interactive Data Visualization Software ” on 5th February 2021 to 9th February 2021. Gateway to GATE 2021 – Tips And Tricks

“CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized an online session on “Gateway to GATE 2021 – Tips And Tricks” on 1st February, 2021. Guest lecture on Amazon Web services

Computer Engineering Department of SAKEC in collaboration with CSI SAKEC had organized a Guest Lecture on Amazon Web Services on 6th March 2020. The renowned speaker Dr. Bhushan Jadhav shown practical implementation of launching VM instances. The speaker also enlightened the students about implementation of different components of amazon such as EC2, Dynamic web hosting, Amazon S3. The session had successfully conducted with participant’s active response.
