National Innovation Contest 2020

SAKEC congratulates Mr. Rohit Gupta, BE Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (2019-20) and his guide Prof. Shridhar R. Sahu for qualifying second round of evaluation in National Innovation Contest 2020 organised by MoE’s Innovation Cell and being qualified for next stage of financial assessment. The project submitted by them was “Eye Controlled Wheelchair Using Raspberry Pi”.

We congratulate to Dr.Nilakshi Jain for Certified Ethical Hacker –CEH (EC-Council USA) Date 25th November 2017. The CEH certificate is EC-Council’s most popular and prestigious certification in Cyber security world.The CEH exam is a relatively new credential in the IT certification industry,but its importance and influence have grown quickly.The CEH certification gives “white hat” IT professionals a glimpse into the mindset of a typical hacker.

Data Mining Cup 2019 @ Berlin

SAKEC Congratulates the team Coll_Shahandanchor_1 for ranking 1st Nationally and 50th Internationally at DATA MINING CUP 2019, Berlin, Germany (International Student Competition) that had participation from 114 Universities (28 Countries) all over the globe.Team Coll_Shahandanchor_1 was trained under AI & Deep Learning Special Interest Group, an initiative of SAKEC Research Cell.

Congratulates our TCS Codevita Competition Winners of Batch 2019-2020 for receiving Direct Employment Offer from TCS. Our bright mind Saiesh Khandare- Winner of Codevita Digital received an offer of 7 LPA from TCS. The SAKEC family is very proud to share that Ms.Swati Nadkarni,I/c Head, IT Department is presented with the title “50 FABULOUS EDUTECH LEADERS” at the 8th World Education Congress. The theme of the Congress was “REORIENTING EDUCATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE”. The presentation ceremony was scheduled on 4th July, 2019 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

Smart India Hackathon:2020

Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College(SAKEC) congratulates Team code4c@use for winning the 2nd prize at Smart India Hackathon(SIH) 2020.Team of 6 students and 2 mentors form Information Technology department was lead by Mr. Nishit Mistry consisted of members Ms.Khyati Prajapati, Ms.Virti Parekh, Mr.Parth Joshi, Ms. Charmi Sanghavi and Mr. Nill Shah and was mentored by Ms. Jalpa Mehta and Dr.Kranti Ghag. The team worked on the problem statement provided by Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) which was about development of an mobile application that could identify a crop only by its field photo.The Nodal center Gujarat Technological University(GTU),Ahmedabad.
SAKEC students have been participating in SIH since the last 4 years, and have achieved remarkable success in SIH. Smart India Hackathon 2020 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving. SAKEC has won many prizes and this tradition is continued this year by SAKEC Team code4c@use.

Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College(SAKEC) congratulates Team SIX_FOLD for winning the prize at the Smart India Hackathon(SIH) 2020 for the problem statement MS342.The team composed of 6 students from the Information Technology and Computer Engineering Department.Mr.Mildeep Singh Pahwa led the team with Mr.Kunal Hirani, Mr. Harshit Parkar, Mr. Mahesh Katkar, Mr.Karan Chothani, and Ms.Riddhi Vyas. Ms.Dhanashree Toradmalle and Mr.Chetan Mahajan mentored the students for this national-level Competition.

Team of Durita Dalal, Richa Lomate, Smit Malde and Yash shah have successfully presented the project on ANDROID APPLICATION FOR INDIAN SIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATOR and Team of Pranjana, Kinjal Savla,Piyush Sahu and Devang shah have successfully presented the project on ANDROID APPLICATION FOR ATTENDANCE SYSTEM USING FINGER PRINT SCANNER during Transform Maharashtra event showcase hours on 1st May 2017. The event was organized by Goverment of Maharashtra at National Sport Club of India, worli.. Dr. Vinit Kotak, Prof. Shikha Shrivastava, Prof. Vidyullata Devmane were present to encourage our Students.

National Level Leadership Challenge- Hunar

E-CELL SAKEC had organized a National Level Leadership Challenge- Hunar in accordance with Jaaro Education a first of its kind leadership Intellegence hunting in young leaders from among 7000+ participants & 100+ colleges.Our SAKEC Team has secured Second Place in Round 2 : “Case Study Challenge” which was part of Hunar : National Level Leadership Challenge. This was a Nation Wide Hunt for India’s Best Leader Crew at Zonal Level which took place on 13th February 2018 at Acres Club, Chembur. Our bright minds Mr. Salil Deshpande, Ms. Vaishnavi Balchandran and Mr. Tejas Raval have qualified and won second prize and Rs. Two Lakhs in the Final Round of Hunar- National Level Leadership Competition organized by Jaro Education. held at iFEEL Institute, Lonavala on 25th February 2018.

In Online International Conference on Machine Intelligence and Smart Computing (ICMISC2020) Organized by Govt. College of Engineering , Karad in collaboration with Rajkiya Engineering College, Azamgarh during 21st & 22nd May, paper of Prinkle Singharia, Aniket Waghela , Bhavya Haria ( final year students from Computer Engineering) and Bhakti Sonawane (guide) got the BEST PAPER award.

Best Paper Presentation Award

The paper presented by, Mr. Lalit Lakshmanan, Mr. Yash Vora, Mr. Raj Ghate ( Final year students of Computer Engineering ) and Mrs. Sarika Rane (Guide), in the virtual International Conference on Machine Learning And Data Analytics (ICMLDA 2020) conducted on the 18th and 19th July 2020 has received the BEST PAPER PRESENTATION AWARD. The Conference was organised by the Computer science department of Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati.

C/Java/Python” held under the TECHGYANATHON, an inter-collegiate event organized by the Department of Information Technology of the Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering, Sion, Mumbai. The event was held on the 25th and 26th of June 2020.

First place in the “Project Competition”

SAKEC is proud to announce that Mr. Prashant S., Final Year student of Computer Engineering Department has participated and secured first place in the “Project Competition” held at APSIT Talent Fest 2020, an inter-collegiate event organized by A.P. Shah Institute of Technology, Thane. The event was held on the 25th-28th of June 2020.

Shooting Championship 2020

Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College congratulates Atharva Juikar of class TE3, Computer Engineering Department for winning second prize in 10TH LAKSHAVEDH SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 which was held during 15th February – 22nd February, 2020 at Swatantryveer Savarkar Air Rifle Club,Shivaji Park, Dadar(w).There were about 133 participants in Shooting Championship. We wish him good luck for further upcoming championships.

The paper presented by, Mr. Dheer Modi, Mr. Rohit Parmar, Mr. Vishal Avduth (Final year students of Computer Engineering) and Mrs. Pallavi Khodke (Asst. Prof.), Mrs. Priyanka Ghule (Asst. Prof.), in the International Conference on Convergence of Smart Technologies (IC2ST-2021) conducted on the 9th and 10th January 2021, has received the BEST PAPER PRESENTATION AWARD. The Conference was organized by Aspire Research Foundation Pune, and one of the track was hosted by the Computer Engineering Department of Shah And And Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College Mumbai.

Red Hat Certified System Administrator

The journey of SAKEC as a Red Hat Linux Academic partner has been a successful one.
Our student Veerapathiramoorthy Pillai from Final year Computer Engineering has proven that a “Pandemic situation is not a problem but, an opportunity for those who want to succeed at any cost”.

He has become the Second Red Hat Certified System Administrator of the institute. He appeared for the RHCSA examination on 10th November 2020 and scored 300 out of 300 marks.

The SAKEC family wishes him Heartiest Congratulations on his achievement and best wishes for the future.
