 BE project groups should present their project work through poster.
 Project poster copy should be name as project title.
 Project Poster should be approved from respective Project guide.
 Project poster PDF file should be submitted through registration form.
 Project poster should also be printed on A3 colour page, refer the
shared template for content, and printout can be submitted (after project
guide’s signature) to Mr. Manish Bhelande/ Mr. Panjab Mane.

The Department of Information Technology in collaboration with IIC 5.0 had organized a session under MANTHAN SERIES. The objective of the MANTHAN SERIES was to benefit the faculties with new concepts and technologies.
It was started with a demonstration on “ISO Awareness ” by Ms. Smita Bansod and Mr. Lukesh Kadu. Third session was conducted on “Guidelines for Curriculum Framework” by Ms. Jalpa Mehta. It was then followed by the session on “Software Testing” by Ms. Jyoti Bansode. After that a session on “Smart City and Industrial IOT Applications” was taken by Ms. Archana Chaugule. It was followed by the session on “Industrial IOT and Smart City” which was taken by Mr.Manish Bhelande.
The sessions were attended by enthusiastic faculties who showed a lot of interest in updating their knowledge.

Goal Setting

Information Technology Department in Collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter and IIC 5.0 organized the event “Goal Setting ” for TE IT students on 13/04/2023.

Ms. Hitakshi Joshi was the speaker of the event. She introduced students to the importance of setting goals early in life.

It was a 2-hour session in which madam explained to students how to not get disheartened when goals have not been achieved as planned. She played various games to help students to understand how important it is to set a practical goal and work towards it. Madam did explain why it is important to have a goal but also to have a plan B ready if things don’t fall in place.

Students actively participated in discussion and asked many questions to madam.

TechEra was a unique amalgamation of technical, e-sports and cultural events, with a unique twist added by the IT Student Council and its volunteers. Techera was a grand success,thanks to the HOD of the IT Department, Prof. Swati Nadkarni, the IT department faculties and the IT Student Council’s dedication and hard work, along with the support of the Principal, Dr.Bhavesh Patel. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their technical skills and knowledge, along with enhancing their cultural and sporting skills.

Department of Information Technology in association with ACM SAKEC Student chapter and IIC 5.0 had organized an event for SE IT students on 02/03/2023 on Effective usage of Digital Library and Urkund plagiarism Tool.Ms. Swati Nadkarni, Mr.Punjab Mane, Ms. Nivedita Mukherjee ,and Ms. Gowri P,  were the speakers of the event .Second year IT Students have attended the event and gained a lot of knowledge on variety of topics.

Ms. Gowri explained how using off campus library they can access so many e books, journals papers, conference papers. A very detailed explanation of Knimbus tool purchased by institute was demonstrated by her.

Ms. Swati Nadkarni encouraged students to use this facility and upgrade themselves whenever they have free time. She encourages students to look for topics outside their syllabus to have a overall development.

Madam is Counselling Psychologist and Remedial educator in various institutions. Consultant Psychologist at Rise & Shine and Mom & Me Clinic Mumbai. Very interactive session with student’s actively participating and answering question asked by speaker.

Dissemination TE Mini Project 2B

The Information Technology Department in collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter & IIC 5.0 organized a session on TE MiniProject  Dissemination-2B” on 27 January 2023.. The speakers of the event Ms.Jalpa Mehta inculcated the audience with dissemination of TE mini project -2B based on Machine Learning. The main aim of this session was to identify problems based on societal /research needs and to develop interpersonal skills to work as members of a group or leader.

To demonstrate project management principles during project work.Also gave  information regarding mini project which is based on machine learning using different steps like Problem Definition,Programming Language(their Libraries),Data Aggregation / Mining / Scraping,ML Algorithms,Model Implementation,Training,Evaluation,Parameter tuning and Inference,Model Deployment.Speaker has explained different real time examples of machine learning and different tools.Also provided a detailed explanation of the project on ROADMAP FOR END TO END MACHINE LEARNING PROJECT CREATION.

SQL and NoSQL Database

On 24 th September 2022 , IEEE-SAKEC in association with the Department ofInformationTechnology organised a NoSQl and SQL Database workshop on Microsoft Teams. The Speaker of the event was Mr. Jiten Patel Assistant Manager Reliance Jio who has a good experience in the field of Flutter ,App development and Databases like NOSQL SQL databases are relational, and NoSQL databases are non-relational. SQL databases use structured query language (SQL) and have a predefined schema. NoSQL databases have dynamic schemas for unstructured data. SQL databases are vertically scalable , while NoSQL databases are horizontally salable

SAKEC Information Technology Department in collaboration with SAKEC ACM Student Chapter organized a One Day Workshop  on “QuickStart To IoT”  for students to simplify the complexity of IoT security through developing various applications.  Participants were from different colleges. There were 24 participants enthusiastically participated in the workshop. 

Ms. Swati Nadkarni, Head of Information Technology Department & SAKEC ACM Student Chapter Faculty Sponsor motivated the participants with words about IOT security and IOT applications, usefulness to build good projects.   • BE project groups should present their project work through poster &
    Demo.
  • Project work should be printed on A1 banner format, refer the shared
    template.
  • Project guide name should not be included on Poster.
  • Project presentation copy should be name as project title.
  • Last date of registration 11 th April 2023, 12:00 PM.
  • Poster should be approved from respective Project guide prior to printing.

Poster Preparation guidelines:

  • Poster size is A1 paper size (), participants are expected to follow the
    poster template.

  • All text, graphs and charts must be easily readable and labelled.
  • Poster should have points mentioned in sample template, the space
    provided under each sub section can be adjusted as per requirement.

  • Poster should cover key highlights of project.
