Winners of all contests held between July 2024 till June 2025 were felicitated with their winning certificates on 22 September 2025, in Lab 208. Prof. Preethi Warrier, Prof. Aprajita Bera and Prof. Seema Kawale presented the certificates to students.
Sambodhi
Sambodhi Orientation- August 23 , SIP 2025
Four student members of SAKEC Sambodhi represented our cell, its policies, and its activities to the FY B.Tech students during their SIP Program 2025.
They first presented the concept of Sambodhi using a PowerPoint presentation and then utilized the Mentimeter AI tool to pose questions to the audience. Many students from the audience actively participated and penned a poem on the spot in a few minutes. They read out their work on the stage.
Independence Day Event (July22- Aug 3 2025)
Write-ups relevant to India’s Independence Day were invited, in the form of prose or a poem in 4 languages- English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. The topics were India 2047, and Letters to my motherland. Prizes in each category were announced. Date of submission was from July 22, 2025 to August 3 Aug, 2025.
Ms. Jasmita Sapariya and Ms. Almas Ansari, student members of Sambodhi, performed a poetic skit, about Operation Sindoor, on 15th August celebrations in the auditorium.

About
SAKEC Sambodhi is the institute’s Writers’ Cell, was established in July 2019 to encourage students and staff to participate in creative writing and effectively harness their writing skills. By providing prompts every month and posting them on the institute’s Facebook page, Sambodhi makes sure that all articles are curated and posted.
Objectives:
- To encourage students and staff to participate in creative writing and effectively harness their writing skills.
- To provide a platform to everyone at SAKEC for expressing their opinions and views, through prose and poems in four different languages.
- To enhance the writing and communication capabilities of students and staff by encouraging them to reflect and pen down their thoughts regularly on varied topics.
- To collaborate with other bodies to promote writing.

Republic Day Contest – January 2024

As a part of Republic Day celebrations, SAKEC Sambodhi conducted a Writing Contest for the month of January. Prose or Poetry about Unsung Heroes of Independence were invited in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. We received 11 contributions, out of which winners were chosen from English Prose, English Poetry, Hindi Prose and Hindi Poetry. All winning articles were posted on the official Facebook page of our institution and all articles were posted on our Instagram Handle. Two of our winners, Almas Ansari and Pankti Thakkar recited their winning poems on stage, during the Republic Day celebrations of our institution on 26th January 2024.
Chitrabhivyakti- Live Portrait and Artwork of Ancient Scientists- October 2023

IKS SAKEC, in association with SAKEC Sambodhi and SAKEC Arts Club Kalavrund, conducted a live portrait/ artwork programme. Students from Kalavrund sketched the portraits12 pm of ancient sages and scientists like Shri Bhaskaracharya, Rishi Bharadwaj, Chanakya, Agastya, Charaka, Sushruta, Varahamihira and Nagarjuna. The students of SAKEC Sambodhi spoke about the lives and accomplishments of these sages.
The event was conducted in the college foyer from 12 pm to 4pm and graced by our Principal and many other teachers and students. The audience got to learn a lot about ancient India and her great scientists.

Favourite Book or Author and Influence. Contest – July 2023
Articles about one’s favourite book or author, and his influence, were invited from July 1- July 22, 2023. 16 articles were received in English, Hindi and Marathi. Winners were declared in each category. All articles were published on Sambodh’s social media handles.

Felicitation Ceremony and Certificate Distribution-April 2023
To felicitate the Sakec Sambodhi Prize Winners, a ceremony was conducted on April 12,2023 at 12:00pm on the 4th floor Auditotium. Our Principal, Dr.Bhavesh Patel was the guest of honour. Prize winners of A.Y 2022-23 contests were presented with certificates and a small token of appreciation. Later, the student members of SAKEC Sambodhi read out their work on stage.
Mother Language Day February 2023
To celebrate Mother Language Day on 21st February, students were encouraged to contribute short articles in their mother language. many articles about India’s linguistic heritage were received in Tulu, Kutchhi, Marwadi, Gujarati, Marathi and Hindi. All participants were awarded participation certificates.

Women Empowerment Essay Writing Competition March 2022
To commemorate ‘Womens’ Day’ and Women Empowerment, SAKEC Sambodhi, in Association with SAKEC Internal Complaints Committee, conducted an essay competition on Women Empowerment. The duration provided was from 9th to 16th March 2022. Various essays covering different aspects of Women Empowerment were received, by e-mail. Winners were chosen amongst both English and Marathi Essay Categories.

Mother Language Day Essay Writing Competition February 2022
On the occasion of Mother Language Day, celebrated on 21st February 2022, an Intra College Essay Writing Competition was conducted. The topics provided were ‘India Shining’ and ‘India’s Diverse Multilingual Heritage’. It was held offline, in the 4th Floor auditorium, on 18th February. Entries were received in Hindi, Marathi and Kannada. Staff members also participated and the winners read out the essays in the foyer during the celebration ceremony.

100 Word Writing Contest December 2021
Intra College Story/ Poem / Drabble writing contest was conducted. The topics provided were Real Life Santa and Adjusting to the New Normal. The contestants were judged and ranked. All articles have been posted on the institution’s official FaceBook page and Sakec Sambodhi’s instagram page.

SHRI RAM CHANDRA MISSION in collaboration with UNITED NATIONS INFORMATION CENTRE FOR INDIA AND BHUTAN And HEARTFULNESS EDUCATION TRUST, organised HEARTFULLNESS ESSAY EVENT -2020. It was conducted during the months of August, September and October 2020 and was publicized and handled in our college by SAKEC SAMBODHI. The topic was, Poverty Is Not Just The Lack Of Money and the maximum word limit was 750 words. Many students from various departments of SAKEC participated and 4 students won the certificate of Merit.

Monthly Writing Activities from Jan-June 2020
Some of the cues provided for these months were New Year, Republic Day, Shivaji Jayanti, Positivity During Lockdown,Activities During Home Quarantine,Hope in the time of Pandemic,What has the Pandemic Taught us,Minimalism and it’s Significance,Unlock 2.0. We received an amazing response of over 20 submissions from both staff and students, even during the lockdown period. These articles garnered around 450 likes, 180 shares and many positive comments. All of them have been posted in the Notes section of our institution’s official FaceBook page.

Felicitation Ceremony for Heartfulness Essay Competition was conducted on 23rd February 2020 at Kharghar Centre of Shri Ramchandra Mission. Ms. Khushi Khetia of T.E Electronics Engineering and Ms. Ria Sapra of Computer Engineering were felicitated for receiving Certificate of Merit.

Heartfulness Essay Competition AUGUST 2019
SHRI RAM CHANDRA MISSION in collaboration with UNITED NATIONS INFORMATION CENTRE FOR INDIA AND BHUTAN And HEARTFULNESS EDUCATION TRUST,organised HEARTFULLNESS ESSAY EVENT -2019. The All India Essay Writing Event has been the flagship event of the partnership between the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan ( UNIC ) and Shri Ram Chandra Mission ( SRCM ) for the past 14 years. It was conducted during the months of August and September 2019 and was publicized and handled in our college by SAKEC SAMBODHI. The topic was All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction (Swami Vivekananda) and the maximum word limit was 750 words. Many students from various departments of SAKEC participated and mailed their essays to SAKEC SAMBODHI, which were passed on to SHRI RAM CHANDRA MISSION for further scrutiny.
Writing Activities for First Half 2019
SAKEC SAMBODHI conducted three writing activities for the month of July, August and September. Certain cues for every month were provided and students and staff were encouraged to contribute prose or poem in English, Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati. The writing cue for July was Monsoons and Mumbaikar. The cues for August were Significance of Independence Day, My Sibling and Everyday is Friendship’s Day. The cues for September were Ganeshotsav, Importance of Teachers and Why I am proud of being an engineer. The topics for October, November and December were open.
This activity saw a huge response from both staff and students and every contribution has been shared on ‘Notes’ section of our college FaceBook page.
Writer’Club SAKEC SAMBODHI Inauguration JULY 2019
The inauguration function of SAKEC Writers’ Club – SAKEC SAMBODHI was held on 24/7/2019 at 3:00pm in the 2nd floor seminar room. Principal Dr.Bhavesh Patel , vice principal Dr.V.C.Kotak, HODs, many other staff members and students graced the function. The SAMBODHI logo was unveiled and the writing topic of the month was announced as Monsoons and Mumbaikar. Members of the audience were encouraged to write on the Sambodhi ScrapBook with a quill, an experience which was enjoyed by all.
