    Hands-on Workshop on Python & Django Web Frameworks

    SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department & SAKEC IIC 2.0 organised a 2 days hands-on workshop on “Python & Django Web Frameworks” on 13th and 14th March 2020 to sharpen the skills and introduce new concepts to the students. The speakers of the event were Mr. Preet Nagda & Mr. Yash Thosani. They gave brief introduction of basic python concepts and the participants were made to create a virtual environment on the system and install Django using the command prompt. Speakers also gave hands on session for creating Application using Django.

    Webinar on Data Analytics

    Information technology Department in collaboration with SAKEC IIC 2.0 organizes “Webinar on Data Analytics ” in association with BPB Publication on 30th May.Many students and faculty from SAKEC and other institutes attended the session. The session started with the speech by the HOD of the IT department Ms. Swati Nadkarni, followed by the introduction of BPB publications.
    The speaker of Webinar Mr. Murari Ramuka explained topics like Data analysis in Real life, prediction model, Why Python for Data Analysis, Getting started with Python for Data Analysis(how to use Matplotlib, Numpy, Pandas), Scope of Data Analysis as a career option. Participants also suggested a few topics they want to attain webinar on. After this question-answer session conducted in which BPB publication has awarded three books to the participants.

    SAKEC-ACM Student Chapter in association with Information Technology, Shah And Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College had organized social event Helping hands to orphanage who are underprivileged, under-nutrition and also HIV positive children at Desire Society, Vashi. Though it is first social event held under SAKEC ACM Student Chapter guided by Ms. Swati Nadkarni, Ms. Smita Bansod, Dr. Nilakshi Jain, Mr. Vaibhav Vasani, Mr. DhwaniketKamble and Mr. Santosh Rathod. Chapter team collected contribution from the student members and staff members.

    Python Programming: Learn It Well

    SAKEC ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with Information Technology Department organized “Python Programming: Learn It Well” workshop at SAKEC. The event took place in Lab 507,508 and 509. The event was conducted over a period of 03 days from 4th July, 2018 to 6th July, 2018 and covered various topics from Basics of Python 3 to advance like adding web page using Django Framework. The event was attended by 45 participants, including students of SAKEC and other colleges,along with industry professionals.

    Internet of Things-IOT

    IETE SAKEC Student’s Forum in collaboration with Information Technology Department organized “Internet of Things-IOT” workshop at SAKEC. The workshop took place in 4th floor Seminar Hall. The workshop was conducted over a period of 02 days from 21st July, 2018 to 22nd July, 2018 and covered various topics like Basics of IOT and various technologies like arduino and raspberry pi. The event was attended by 102 participants, including students of SAKEC, other colleges and staff members too, along with industry professionals.

    VHDL

    Information Technology Department of SAKEC, Organized a session on “VHDL”. The event was conducted on the 22nd September, 2018 in the 2nd floor, Lab 204. This workshop would form a base of VHDL coding and understanding digital circuits behaviour where the main motto of the event is: “To introduce the participants to VHDL and the tools that are used in VHDL .” . Hands on was given to all students which was helped by our volunteers. Event participated by 36 students of Information Technology branch and some more students of Electronics and Tele-Communication branch of SAKEC.

    Python Web Frameworks

    Department of Information Technology in collaboration with CSI- SAKEC STUDENT CHAPTER had organised a Event on “Python Web Frameworks ” on 19th January, 2019.Speakers covered topics to create front end as well as backend to develop complete application using flask Framework. Hands on was given to all students which was helped by our volunteers.Event participated by 31 students of Computer Engineering and Information Technology branches of SAKEC.

    Orientation Program on IPR and Patenting

    Orientation Program on IPR and Patenting was conducted on 15th January 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur.Dr. Kranti Ghag explained the main objective of the Orientation Program and appreciated different faculties from other colleges who attended the program. She also explained in detail about syllabus contents and depth of coverage for each module in the syllabus. Considering the scarcity in patents filed in India, the syllabus has given more weightage to patent and its related points.

    Pathway Towards Product Development

    On September 25th January 2020, SAKEC Information Technology department in association with SAKEC IIC2.0 conducted Seminar on Pathway Towards Product Development for third year Information Technology department students.In “Pathway Towards Product Development” seminar, two BE project group students share their experience.BE students share their journey form TE mini project (VI semester) to BE project II (VIII semester).Students also explained the difficulties faced by then while completing the project and how they overcome all to have successful project.

    Alumni Talk 2020

    On Friday,17th January 2020, Department of Information Technology organised an “Alumni Talk” in the 7th Floor Auditorium. The Speaker of event was Mr. Nisarg Shah(SAKEC Alumni -B.E-I.T-2018) currently pursuing Master of Science in Information Systems at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.It was an interactive session where speakers shared his journey from SAKEC to Stevens. He also encouraged students to undergo Internships and work on Live projects for betterment of career.

    Pcb Designing And Etching

    IETE SAKEC and IIC 2.O in Association with Information Technology Department,organized a workshop on ”Pcb Designing And Etching”.The event was conducted on 28th January,2020 in Lab 404. This workshop would form a brief understanding and learning of PCB designing. The main motto behind conducting this workshop is:“To get deep knowledge about PCB and to learn the implementation of the same.” So for the implementation of innovative ideas and to get best results we turn to PCB DESIGNING.

    Hands-on Session on Copyright and Patent Filing

    The Intellectual Property Right Cell, SAKEC conducted a hands-on Session on Copyright and Patent Filing on 11th February 2020.The main purpose of this event was to create awareness of copyright and patent filing process among the faculties. Attendees for the session were IT Staff (Teaching and Technical).

    Talk On Ethical Hacking And Cyber Security

    SAKEC ACM Student Chapter, organized “Talk On Ethical Hacking And Cyber Security”on 5th February 2020.It was an open event for all its SAKEC Students .The motive of this event was to give the students a basic idea about hacking and also to learn how real life hackers are and how they think.The Speaker of the event was Mr. Rohit Gautam who is an Ethical Hacker and Pentester by profession and has works with many top indian banks and private firms.He created an interesting presentation and covered major topics like Android Hacking, Email Hacking, Cyber Forensics, Phishing and Ransomware. He also gave live demonstration of all these topics and also showed students live attack on websites.
