Online Event and a Coding Competition “AlgoConnect”

CSI-SAKEC, in collaboration with the AlgoZenith student Community, organized an online event and a coding competition “AlgoConnect” on the 1st and 2nd of October, 2022.

On day one, Mr. Vivek Gupta guided his viewers and answered all queries related to competitive programming on his YouTube live stream.

On day two, the competition (CodeZenith) was held on the AlgoZenith platform. Participants had 2 hours to solve five problem statements. They were given the freedom to code in any language like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. The winners were awarded with certificates and goodies from AlgoZenith.

This event helped the students code with better knowledge and new skills. Students learned new ways to code for a given logic and improved their problem-solving techniques.

The competition ended with great feedback from the participants. They showed considerable interest in future sessions undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

Build Your Future with Algorithms


CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department organized an event on – “Build Your Future with Algorithms” on August 24th, 2022. The event was conducted by Mr. Aditya Jaiswal and Ms. Arya Shukl.
The Speakers held an insightful session through which the participants were encouraged into efficient coding.Through their knowledge they helped participants improve their problem solving and logic building skills. Important algorithms, company perspective ,MS perspective ,various such topics were discussed by the speakers .The session ended with great feedback from participants.The participants showed great interest in the work endeavours and are keen to be a part of the future ventures undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

Mastering React JS

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department organized an event on – “Mastering React JS” on August 10th 2022. The event was conducted by Mr. Om Jadhav and Ms. Shweta Pachpute.
The event offered a beginner’s guide to React JS, covering app building, testing, and launch processes. Participants explored React’s role in web development, creating robust, user-friendly web apps with hands-on session.The session ended with great feedback from the participants. The participants showed great interest in the work endeavours and are keen to be a part of the future ventures undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

Workshop on “GO with the flow” dated October 6th, 2023.


CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department and SAKEC-IIC 6.0, successfully organized a workshop on “GO with the flow” on October 6th, 2023.

The workshop flawlessly achieved its mission of imparting essential Golang knowledge, thanks to Mr. Nishith Savla’s expertise and the interactive exercises that made it both engaging and enlightening. Attendees not only developed a newfound appreciation for Golang but also left with the confidence to apply it in their software development endeavors.

Test-Driven Development using Java

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized a 1-day INTERNATIONAL webinar for learners on “Test-Driven Development using Java” on 8th August, 2020. Mr. Suresh Gupta, a certified AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, conducted the event. Topics such as: Introduction to TDD, Junit framework, and TDD cycles were covered, and a hands-on demo pertaining to writing a piece of code with all different test cases was given by the speaker. Participant count exceeded 90, with participants from all over India. “Chatbot- Build Intelligent Virtual Assistant ”

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized a 1-day online workshop for learners on “Chatbot- Build Intelligent Virtual Assistant ” on 1st August, 2020. Mr. Ali Mustafa Shaikh, INTEL Software Innovator, and Google certified Educator, conducted the event. Topics covered were: Basics of Chatbot, Business use-cases of chatbots, developing chatbots using minimal code and tools available, and hands-on demo on how to build a chatbot. Participant count exceeded 200, with participants from all over India. CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized an online session on “Gateway to GATE 2021 – Tips And Tricks” on 1st February, 2021. CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized a 3-day online workshop for learners on “Cross-platform application development with Flutter & Dart” on 26th February 2021 to 28th February 2021. Overseas Education Information Series

Computer Engineering Department in association with Training and Placement Cell, CSI-SAKEC and IETE-SAKEC had successfully conducted Overseas Education Information Series – (5th April To 8th April) with esteemed universities from US, UK, Ireland and Australia. On the first day of Overseas Education Information Series, esteemed international speaker Ms. Shivani Bhalla from the Brunel University, London has discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She had also discussed the queries regarding the application, scholarship, eligibility, internship, placement, and the degree in University during this pandemic situation. On the second day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e 6th April 2021, Ms. Pinky Desai, a motivator and an exceptional speaker representing Monash University, Australia, very candidly discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She also addressed the queries of attendees regarding the applications, scholarships eligibility, internship, placement, on/off campus part – time jobs during this pandemic situation. On the third day of Overseas Education Information Series i.e 7th April 2021, our Esteemed international speaker Prof. Derek Molloy, Dr. Conor McArdle, Mr. Colum Cronin from Dublin City University, Ireland has discussed various specialized programs offered by the Dublin City University and the prerequisites for the same. They also very candidly answered the queries regarding the application, scholarship opportunities, accommodation, eligibility, internship, placement, on/off campus part time jobs and the degree in University during this pandemic situation. On the last day of Overseas Education Information Series i.e. 8th April 2021, our Esteemed speaker Mr. Sudipta Roy , who is a regional recruitment manager, USA has discussed various specialized programs offered by the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey and University of Maryland, Baltimore County in USA and the prerequisites for the same. He had also discussed the queries in a very detail mannered regarding the application, scholarship, eligibility, on / off campus job opportunities, internship, placement, and the degree in the institute during this pandemic situation. Ms. Mrunali Kulkarni, from Vision International, coordinated and supported the successful conduction of the event.

Develop Recommendation Engine using Python – Understand Techniques and Algorithm

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with AI Probably and Computer Engineering Department organized an online session on “Develop Recommendation Engine using Python – Understand Techniques and Algorithm” on 18th April 2021. The event was conducted by Mr. Parth Sharma, Chief Data Scientist, Jasper Colin Research. Topics covered were: Implementing various recommendation system algorithms in python, Understand and Implement different types of RE such as Collaborative filtering, Content-based filtering, etc, Create a recommendation system for a set of industry examples for applicability, Develop deeper understanding in recommendation systems and their User cases Participants were from different colleges from all over India. Session received great positive feedback from the participants and they showed keen interest for future ventures undertaken by CSI-SAKEC.

CODE OF DUTY: SEASON 1

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized a coding contest – “CODE OF DUTY: SEASON 1” on July 24, 2021.Competition was held on hacker rank platform. Participants (of every difficulty level) were given 1 hour and 30 minutes to solve the three problem statements. CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department had organized an event – “Gateway to GRE” on 7th April ,2022. The event was conducted by Mr. Rahul Bhat – Sr. Counsellor and Trainer – rahulb@imperial-overseas.com and Mr. Anil Kulkarni – Head Verbal Trainer/ Counselor – anilk@imperial-overseas.com Objective of the event was: GRE Exam Structure, GRE scholarship test, Solving test questions The participants showed active participation during the ‘question and answer’ session and got to learn new competency skills. The event ended with the delivery of a vote of thanks, which expressed our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the speaker’s efforts. Overseas Education Information Series 2022

The Computer Engineering Department in association with Training and Placement Cell, CSI-SAKEC, and Vision International had successfully conducted Overseas Education Information Series -(7th March 2022 to 11th March 2022) with esteemed universities from the US, UK, and Australia. On the primary day of the Overseas Education info Series, esteemed international speaker Ms.Apurva Salvi from the University of Arizona, USA have mentioned numerous specialized programs offered by the University conjointly the} stipulations for the same. She had also discussed the queries relating to the application, scholarship, eligibility, internship, placement, and a degree in the university. On the second day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e., 8th March 2022, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, a motivator and an exceptional speaker representing Monash University, Australia, very candidly discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She also self-addressed the queries of attendees relating to the applications, scholarships eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs throughout this pandemic situation. On the third day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e 9th March 2022, Ms. Mrunali Kulkarni had discussed various specialized programs offered by the Vision International Process Webinar, information related to visas,s and the prerequisites for the same was discussed. They also very candidly answered the queries relating to the application, scholarship opportunities, accommodation, eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs. On the fourth day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e., 10th March 2022, Ms. Pinky Desai, a motivator and an exceptional speaker representing Monash University, Australia, very candidly discussed various specialized programs offered by the University and the prerequisites for the same. She also self-addressed the queries of attendees relating to the applications, scholarships eligibility, internship, placement, and on/off-campus part-time jobs throughout this pandemic situation. On the last day of the Overseas Education Information Series i.e. 11th March 2022, our Esteemed speaker Mr. Mohammad Shaikh, had discussed various specialized programs offered by the Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, and the prerequisites for the same. He had also discussed the queries in a very detailed manner regarding the application, scholarship, eligibility, on / off-campus job opportunities, internship, placement, and the degree in the institute during this pandemic situation.

SAKEC-CONNECT

SAKEC-ACM in collaboration with Computer Engineering Department has organized “SAKEC-CONNECT” on 29th and 30th March 2019. It was tech competition for undergraduates where they participated as individuals. Based on skill sets of individuals a team of 4 has been formed to develop any software product. Mentors are also assigned to guide all the teams. The judges have chosen the top 3 teams who are winners.

Inauguration Ceremony of Redhat Linux global certifications training course

It’s our pleasure to announce that the inauguration ceremony of Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) global certifications training course was conducted on 6th August 2019. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of our managing trustee Shree.Navinbhai Shah, Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Vice Principal Dr. V.C. Kotak, I/c Head of Department (Electronics Engineering) Dr. Subha Subramaniam, I/c Head of Department (Computer Engineering) Prof. Uday Bhave along with Industry experts Ms. Archana Kharat and Mr. Amit Ladge. Computer Engineering department has taken this initiative to provide a golden opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge and skills. The ceremony was concluded with the motivational speech of Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel which further boosted enthusiasm among participants. The ceremony followed by the first session of the course conducted by industry expert Mr. Ramesh Karat and Mr. Amit Ladge.

Introduction to Machine Learning using Tensorflow 2.0

CSI-SAKEC in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering organized 1 day workshop on “Introduction to Machine Learning using Tensorflow 2.0” on 10th August, 2019. Deep Mehta & Deep Vira, students of final year computer engineering SAKEC conducted the event. Topics covered wereTensorFlow2.0 framework,Introduction to machine learning, Hands on tensorflow(Image recognition), creating neural network & gathering dataset, using Jupyter to share code, data cleaning and transformation.The workshop ended with great feedback from students. The students showed considerable interest in future workshops.
