Field visit for SY1 ECS Students- March 2026

A field visit was organized on 22/03/2026 for SY1 ECS students under the Entrepreneurship Development Lab (EDL) at Dadobaa oils OPC private limited under the guidance of Faculty Coordinators Ms. Jayashree Dhawale and Dr. Renuka V. Chimankare.

The purpose of the visit was to provide practical exposure to real-world entrepreneurial practices and business operations. Students were introduced to the functioning of a small-scale industry focused on cold-pressed oil production. The organization demonstrated traditional oil extraction techniques and explained the importance of maintaining product quality. Students also learned about sourcing raw materials, packaging, and marketing strategies.

An interactive session allowed students to understand challenges faced by entrepreneurs and startup growth. The visit helped in enhancing their knowledge of innovation and management in business. All students actively participated and showed enthusiasm throughout the visit. Necessary safety measures and discipline were maintained under the supervision of the faculty coordinators. Overall, the visit was informative and successful in achieving its objective of promoting entrepreneurial learning.

 

Session on “Drontelligence” Conducted by ECS Students.- April 2026

On 7th April 2026, an interactive 6-hour session was conducted on drone fundamentals, flight mechanics, applications, and practical flying.

The session provided students with an engaging, activity-driven, and hands-on experience. From understanding how drones work to real-time flying, the event effectively combined learning with active participation.

This session was conducted by our Final Year student Siddharth Gugaliya and Second Year student Rajat Adsule.

We appreciate their efforts in delivering an insightful and practical learning experience for all participants.

 

 

 

 

 

Industry Expert Session: Unicorn Simulator: April 2026

 

On 13th April 2026, a demonstration session on the Unicorn Simulator (USIM) was conducted as part of the Entrepreneurship Development Lab to provide students with practical exposure to startup modeling and entrepreneurial decision-making. The session was delivered by Mr. Bhavey associated with the Unicorn Simulator platform from Cybranex Pvt. Ltd.

The primary objective of the session was to introduce students to the concept of startup simulation, where various business parameters such as revenue, costs, growth rate, and funding are analyzed to understand how a startup can scale into a unicorn.

The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world entrepreneurial practices by providing a hands-on understanding of business modeling tools.

Exploring the Power of Prompts in the Age of AI – March 2026

The IEI-SAKEC Student Chapter, in collaboration with the ECS Department of Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Prompt Engineering – Where Pedagogy Meets AI Precision” on 7th March 2026.

The session was led by Ronak Parikh, Co-Founder of Techinfinity, Techinfinity Studios, Bespoke Bliss, and Technobotics, a 30 Under 30 recognized entrepreneur, whose ventures have also been featured among the Top 60 Startups of Maharashtra under MSSIDC.

Through insightful discussions and live demonstrations, participants explored:
✨ Fundamentals of Prompt Engineering
✨ AI-assisted productivity and teaching techniques
✨ Practical applications of AI tools in real-world workflows

The workshop highlighted how the right prompts can unlock the true potential of Artificial Intelligence, making it a crucial skill for students, educators, and professionals alike.

Peer Learning Session 2- On “Basic Drone Technology” Conducted by ECS Student Ms.Purva Ambre

An insightful technical session was conducted on 13th February 2026 by Ms. Purva Ambre, BTech student of Electronics and Computer Science focusing on the Anatomy of Drones, Aerodynamics, and ESP32 Applications in UAV Systems. The session provided students with an in-depth understanding of the structural and functional components of drones, including frame design, propulsion systems, flight controllers, sensors, and communication modules. Special emphasis was given to aerodynamic principles such as lift, drag, thrust, and stability that govern drone flight performance.
We appreciate Ms. Purva for her commendable effort and contribution towards enhancing technical knowledge among students.

Unicorn Simulator Training Session- January 2026

 

A Training Session was conducted in online mode by Mr. Bhavey Mittal from Cybranex Centre of Excellence (CoE) team for SY ECS students on 8th January 2026 at 12:00 p.m. The speaker introduced the students about the Unicorn Simulator sponsored by Cybranex team CoE which is helpful for the students to run and understand the startup journey they learn in the Entrepreneurship and Development Lab subject in their curriculum.

A total of 71 students attended the session and played the simulator as per the instructions given by the speaker.

Workshop on Dealing with Peer Pressure-Jan 2026

 

 

A workshop on “Dealing with Peer Pressure” was conducted by Ms. Hitakshi Joshi on 22nd January 2026 for the students of the Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) Department.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the nature of peer pressure and its impact on personal choices, academic performance, and emotional well-being. Ms. Joshi engaged the students through interactive discussions, relatable real-life scenarios, and practical strategies to help them make confident and responsible decisions.
Students were encouraged to express their thoughts, share experiences, and learn healthy ways to handle external influences while staying true to their values and goals. The workshop helped students develop better self-awareness, decision-making skills, and confidence in handling social and academic pressures.
The session was well received by the students and proved to be insightful, engaging, and beneficial for their personal growth and overall development.

Peer Learning Session 1-Drone Technology: Feb 2026

A highly informative session on “Basic Drone Designing” was successfully conducted on 11th February 2026 by our Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) Second Year student, Mr. Rajat Adsule.

The session provided valuable insights into the fundamentals of drone technology, including basic components, working principles, design considerations, and practical applications. Participants gained a clear understanding of drone structure, flight control mechanisms, and emerging opportunities in the field of unmanned aerial systems.

The session was interactive and engaging, encouraging the SY students to explore innovation and hands-on learning in drone development. Such peer-led initiatives reflect the technical enthusiasm and growing research culture within the ECS department.

We appreciate Mr. Rajat Adsule for his commendable effort and contribution towards enhancing technical knowledge among the SY ECS students.

P2P Foundation- IEI Student Chapter Collaborative Workshop on Crypto & Web3- February 2026

The IEI Student Chapter, in collaboration with P2P Foundation, successfully organized an interactive workshop on Crypto and Web3 titled “Earn · Invest · Spend” on 2nd February 2026 at 201 Lab.
The workshop was designed to provide students with practical exposure to cryptocurrency and real-world Web3 applications, moving beyond theoretical concepts. The session covered crypto fundamentals, common mistakes and scams, earning and investment mechanisms, and everyday use cases of digital assets.
A key highlight of the event was the live interaction and hands-on learning experience, which included quizzes, user-generated content challenges, and a real-time application walkthrough. Selected students also received an opportunity to experience crypto usage in a controlled environment.
The session was conducted by Mr. Sarthak Pawar from P2P Foundation, who shared valuable industry insights and engaged students through interactive discussions. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, fostering awareness, analytical thinking, and industry readiness.
This collaborative initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to exposing students to emerging technologies and strengthening industry academia interaction.

QUERYCRAFT: The Art of Database Engineering December 2025

      

Wrapping Up an Incredible Learning Experience on ” QUERYCRAFT: The Art of Database Engineering”

On 08th – 12th December 2025, Shah and Anchor College IEI Student Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) and the Department of Computer Engineering (CM)*, successfully conducted a 5-Day Training Program titled “QUERYCRAFT: The Art of Database Engineering.” in Lab 605 & 606, brought together enthusiastic participants eager to strengthen their foundation in modern database technologies.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Aditya Thakare, an experienced trainer, researcher, and open-source enthusiast, who has successfully trained students across various institutions.
His dynamic teaching approach covered:

🔹 Day 2: SQL Operations, Data Manipulation & Control
🔹 Day 3:Advanced Logic Building & Automation Techniques

Parent–teacher meeting of ECS department was held on 4th Oct 2025, from 1.00 pm onwards in 2nd-floor classrooms.

Industry Expert talk for second year and third year students- January 2025

Department of Electronics & Computer Science organized an Industry Expert talk for second year and third year students on 17th January 2025 during 2pm to 3:30pm. The speaker, Mr. Pravin Jogdand, Industry Expert from SemTech, Pune gave valuable insights into the transformative role of embedded systems in the AI era. Dr. Asha Durafe from the Department of Electronics & Computer Science coordinated the event.

Key Highlights of the Lecture:

The CybraneX Centre of Excellence Quantum Computing Lab was inaugurated on 4th July 2025 at the Department of Electronics & Computer Science, SAKEC with great enthusiasm and spirit, symbolizing a significant leap toward future-focused education and research in cutting-edge technologies. The event was organized in collaboration with CybraneX Technologies and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., a leading IT consulting firm specializing in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain.
The lab was officially inaugurated by Dr. Ashwin Saxena, Founder & CEO of CybraneX, along with Principal Dr. Bhavesh Patel and HoD Dr. Vidyulata Devmane.

“The Quantum Awareness Seminar” July 2025

The Quantum Awareness Seminar, held on Saturday, 19th July 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, was a successful initiative by the Centre of Excellence
in Quantum Technologies at Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, in collaboration with CybraneX and the IEI – SAKEC Students’ Chapter.
Conducted via Microsoft Teams. The seminar was open to students across all departments and academic years. The session witnessed active participation and enthusiasm from students, eager to explore the frontiers of quantum technology and its real-world implications.

Internship/Skill Development Program on “Data Science with Power BI”- June 2025

 

IEI in collaboration with the ECS Department offered a 10 days internship / skill development  program on “Data Science with Power BI” from June 16th to June  26th , 2025 at Lab 103 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Prof. Deepika Patil and Prof. Keerthana T were the speakers for this event.

The internship was designed for staff and students, to impart both theoretical understanding and practical exposure, in the domains of Python programmingMachine Learning, and Business Intelligence using Power BI. Each day was structured with a detailed agenda progressing from foundational Python to hands-on project implementation.

Industrial visit to Prismtech Technologies, Mahape (April 2025)

 

On 11th April 2025, Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College organized an industrial visit to Prismtech Technologies, Mahape, via the ECS Department IEI-SAKEC Student Chapter.

A total of 41 students from ECS, CS, AIDS, ACT, and EXTC departments participated. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to modern manufacturing and smart automation systems. Students toured advanced machinery including Flow Wrap, VFFS, Blister Packing, and Bottle Filling Lines. Technologies like PLCs, HMIs, and various sensors were demonstrated. Students learned about SLAM-based 3D mapping and Cognex barcode systems.

The integration of AI and automation in real-world production was a key highlight. An interactive session with Prismtech engineers offered career and industry insights. Prof. Manjusha Kulkarni and Prof. Anita Nalawade coordinated the successful visit. The visit bridged academic learning with industrial experience, inspiring the students

“Mobile App Development Using Flutter”- January 2025

The SAKEC Robo Club, in collaboration with the ECS Department, organized a session, “Mobile App Development using Flutter” on January 25, 2025, at Lab 202 from 10:00 am to 4 pm. Mr. Manohar Acharya was the speaker of this event and Prof Manjusha Kulkarni was the Event Coordinator.

Students learned Dart Language from scratch in this session, which forms the foundation of App Development using Flutter. The session covered how the mobile applications work behind the scenes, with practical demonstrations of API Testing. In addition, version controlled systems like Git and GitHub were introduced, teaching the students how to collaborate efficiently on app development projects.

The program facilitated hands-on experience and deepened the understanding of mobile app development using Flutter.

Industrial visit at Solace Cogen Pvt. Ltd, October 2024.

Our team along with guide Prof. Shikha Singh of “Hybrid Solar Inverter” project, under Research Cell, had the opportunity to visit a Solar Manufacturing company namely Solace Cogen Pvt Ltd, a Solar Photovoltaic Power plant manufacturing Company on 1st Oct 2024 from 10:00 am.
We were welcomed by Sir Mahesh Rane who is the CEO of the company. After a brief introduction of the company, Mahesh Sir took us to a nearby site where they had installed solar panels. He explained the whole process to us in detail, how they’re installed, how do
solar panels work, and what all procedures we need to follow while installing them.
In all, the session touched upon various essential aspects related to solar energy in the field.

A guest Lecture was arranged by IKS CELL, in collaboration with the ECS Department for the Students of the second Year on 16th August 2024. The session was conducted for 3 hours (morning 9:00 am to 12 pm)

Counseling Session on Developing Professional Skills. July 2024

 

 

On 4th July 2024, SAKEC Counselor, Ms. Hitakshi Joshi conducted a session for Final Year Electronics and Computer Science students, to develop their Professional Skills.

She guided the students on how to face the interviewer confidently, also equipping them with verbal & non-verbal communication skills. This training would help them to work in the future with fellow colleagues. It is very essential to gain professional skills before entering into the corporate world, so the importance of focusing on not just on their attitude, but also their presentation, was discussed.

Dr Subha Subramaniam, HOD  of the department welcomed all & gave a brief idea about the autonomy curriculum structure and its benefits. Department Examination Committee (DEC) informed details about exam rules, exam scheme, exam conductions as well as passing criteria for all exams.

“Project and Publication Guidance Event” July 2024

Our Department organized a session “Project and Publication Guidance”, on 18th July 2024 at 2 PM, for all students of ECS department. Total 181 students attended the session. The venue for this session was 7th-floor Auditorium.

This session was organized to guide the students in proper selection of project problem statement. This will give more reliable solutions to real-life and societal problems. The main aim was to encourage students to do more hardware/software projects which will help them to develop a practical skill set.

The session was conducted by Mr. Aaditya Aurobindo and Dr. Sarika Bukkawar.

Mr. Aadity Aurobindo, a Researcher at IIT, guided students about the importance of projects in improving their employability skills for a fruitful career. He interacted with the students by sharing his experience of handling different research projects under IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay. Various aspects related to proper literature review, and selection of components/software for projects was discussed. Dr. Sarika Bukkawar talked about publication of project work. She thoroughly guided them about how to do literature survey and find gaps in recent research as problem statement. She shared information about benefits of good publications, good journals and also how to find suitable publisher for your problem statement.

Industrial Visit Ahmedabad – March 2024

An industrial visit was conducted by our department in collaboration with the Department of Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology), to eInfochips(An Arrow Company) Ahmedabad on 1st March 2024 and to GVK Healthcare Services, Ahmedabad on 2nd March 2024.

eInfochips is a leading company specializing in semiconductor IC, IOT, AIML, Security, Sensors, Wireless, Cloud and Power. Students were encouraged with valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies in VLSI. GVK Healthcare Services
offered students exposure to real-time medical emergency management and server telecommunication systems. The visits were conducted under the valuable guidance of Dr. Subha Subramaniam and Prof. Nibha Desai.

Counselling Session for B.E- March 2024

Our Counsellor/Psychologist Ms. Hitakshi Vyas Joshi conducted a workshop on Professional Communication Skills for our BE students on 21st March 2024.

The session was organized to train our BE students on how to achieve their desired outcome by enhancing their communication skills and how to ace job interviews. Furthermore, the counsellor conducted mock interviews among the
students so that they could reflect on their performance and do better during their placement. This motivated them to perform better in their job interview.

The counsellor also emphasized on company ethics, dress code, and how to present oneself in one’s company. She also guided the students on how their verbal as well as their non-verbal communication impacts their interview. To conclude the session, she motivated the students to practice their skills and gave tips on how to crack the interview.

Industrial Visit to Bhabha Atomic Research Center Mumbai on 18th March 2024.

Our department organized an industrial visit to BARC on 18th March 2024.We visited the Remote Handling and Robotics Lab and Reactor control room. The research undertaken at each of the facility was explained by the concerned scientists.
Numerous robots for diversified applications were demonstrated to the students. The spot picker robot for Proteomics,6 DOF parallel manipulator, Automation systems for nuclear fuel fabrication facilities, remote handling systems for nuclear power plants, imaging technologies for medical applications were some of the highlights.
Dhruv Reactor model was illustrated to us. This model depicted the detailed working of a nuclear reactor. We had a first-hand experience of visiting a nuclear reactor control room.
Interacting with eminent scientists of BARC was really a wonderful experience for faculty and students. The visit has kindled the quest for scientific knowledge, especially in the field of robotics among our students. 36 students along with 3 staff visited BARC. The visit was organized by Prof Salabha Jacob and Mr. Amar Chouhan was the student coordinator.

Inception: A Portal to AR-VR. September 2023

 

On September 11th, 2023, the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, in collaboration with
IIC 6.0, organized the event titled “Inception: A Portal to AR-VR.” The first official launch of the
Tech Magazine, Radiant, was also celebrated at the same event.
The event commenced with a lovely rendition of the Saraswati Vandana. After seeking the blessings
of Ma Sarasvati, our beloved and respected Principal, Dr. Bhavesh Patel, addressed the students in the
domain of AR-VR and also extended his address to the chief guest, Mr. Vyan Gandhi, CEO of
Augmentables. Following this, the magazine was officially launched by the Principal, Chief Guest,
Head of the Department, Dr. Subha Subramaniam, and Dean Academics, Prof. P. Khedkar, along with
other magazine team members.
The session was then handed over to the dynamic and young CEO, Vyan Gandhi, who conducted an
interactive and engaging session with the audience. He showcased numerous hands-on and hands-off
demos to both students and faculty, leaving them in awe. These demos included 3D videos and
interactive games, all of which were broadcasted live on the screen.
Students and faculty alike later enjoyed a small game organized by the student team. Even the faculty
found themselves lively and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The event coordinator, Prof. Nirmol
Munvar, later delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the session.

Session on Project Guidance- August 2023

Department of Electronics and Computer Science organized a session “Project Guidance”, on 11th August 2023 at 2 PM, for all students of ECS department. Total 174 students attended the session. The venue for this session was 7th floor Auditorium.
The session commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Subha Subramanium, Head of Department, ECS and Prof. P.G. Khedkar, Dean Academics.
This session was organized for guiding the students in the proper selection of problem statements, and to provide more reliable solutions to real-life or societal problems. The main aim was to encourage students to do more hardware/software projects which will help them to develop a practical skill set.
The session was conducted by Mr. Aaditya Aurobindo, Researcher at IIT Bombay. He guided students about the importance of projects in improving their employability skills for a fruitful career. He interacted with the students by sharing his experience of handling different research projects under IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay. Various aspects related to the proper literature review and selection of components/software for projects were discussed.

Hands-On Workshop on “C Programming for Data Structures” – July 2023

Department of Electronics and Computer Science successfully conducted a Hands-On Workshop on “C Programming for Data Structures” on 25th July 2023 for students of Second Year ECS Department. Prof. Nirmol Munvar explained the Concept of Arrays and their usage in Data Structures. Prof. Pooja Polshetwar introduced the fundamental concept of pointers and their applications in Data Structures. Prof. Pooja Polshetwar and Prof. Nirmol Munvar conducted and delivered the event under the guidance of Convenor Dr.Subha Subramaniam, HOD, Electronics and Computer Science department.

One-day Hands-on workshop on “Introduction to PLC with ladder diagram programming and PID Controller”. March 2023

SAKEC Robo Club in collaboration with Electronics and Computer Science Department & SAKEC IIC 5.0, conducted a one-day Hands-on workshop on “Introduction to PLC with ladder diagram programming and PID Controller”.
The event was conducted on 24th March 2023. After completing the workshop participants got the basic knowledge regarding Programmable Logic Controllers, ladder diagrams, and PID Controllers. Participants also gained knowledge regarding Ladder diagram programming and interfacing with Delta PLC, Control, and Instrumentation Systems. The session was conducted by Prof. Santosh Kamble.

One-week internship program on “Robot Designing on ESP32 CAM”- December 2022

SAKEC Robo club in collaboration with ECS Department offered a One-week internship program on “Robot Designing on ESP32 CAM” from December 12 to December 16, 2022, Prof. Santosh Kamble and Prof. Manjusha Kulkarni were the speakers for this event.
In this internship, student Design a PCB layout for ESP 32 CAM. After completing the PCB layout component mounting, soldering, and testing done by the students.
Each student individually assembled a robot and interface motor driver and sensors. On Arduino IDE software, the code was written which was explained by Prof Santosh Kamble and the robot was controlled by a web server page.

2- Day event on WIRELESS CONTROLLED ROBOT. September 2022

SAKEC Robo Club in collaboration with ECS Department conducted a 2- Day event on “WIRELESS CONTROLLED ROBOT” to introduce students to Arduino UNO, interface with different Sensors and Design Robots on DAY 1m and Application building using MIT App Inventor on DAY 2.
The event was conducted on 16th September 2022 and 17th September 2022. After completing this event workshop participants got the basic knowledge regarding Arduino UNO & its interface with different sensors, building applications using MIT App Inventor.
The session was conducted by Prof. Santosh Kamble and Prof. Anita Nalawade from Electronics and Computer Science Department and student speakers Ms.Yaksha Poladia from TE-EXTC & Ms.Madhavi More from TE-ECS .

Counseling Workshop for S.E and T.E students (March-April 2023)

Counseling workshops were conducted for both T.E and S.E students of our department, on 23rd March and April 3rd, 2023, respectively. The title of the session for T.E students was Goal Setting and for S.E students was, How to Deal with Peer Pressure and Addiction.

Both sessions were conducted by our in-campus counselor, Ms. Hitakshi Joshi Vyas, in offline mode for 1.5 hours. The topics discussed were:

Positive and Negative aspects of peer pressure, Effects of negative and positive peer pressure, Reasons for getting influenced, Identifying the students, Effective ways of dealing with negative peer pressure, What is Addiction and its types, Science behind addiction, What are Goals, Why are goals important, What do we need to do to achieve our goals, Techniques for setting a goals, Fears and setbacks that demotivates us to pursue our goals, What is the Motivation, What is procrastination, etc.

The feedback from the students was extremely positive. Students liked the videos which were shown to them. Over all students were very happy with the speaker and the sessions.

 

Orientation of Skill based lab: Linux server Administration ECL 604- January 2023

Orientation Program on Skill-based lab: Linux Server Administration Lab (ECL604), Sem VI, Electronics and Computer Science revised 2019 C syllabus scheme was held on 7th January 2023, organized by Electronics and Computer Science department. The orientation was conducted by Prof. Vaibhav Godbole, Assistant Professor, Fr. CRCCE. Discussions were made regarding the syllabus, assessment methods, and scope of enhanced learning The session was
interactive, and information regarding the experiments set up and Hands-on was discussed in detail. Total of 11 faculty members across engineering colleges of Mumbai University attended this orientation.

QUANTA- ECS DAY- Jan 2023

Quanta-ECS day was organized by the department of Electronics and Computer Science, Student Council of Electronics and Computer Science department in association with SAKEC IIC 5.0.

It started with the inauguration and unrevealing of the logo QUANTA. It was followed by an Inaugural address by principal Dr.Bhavesh Patel. The welcome address was delivered by H.O.D, ECS, Dr.Subha Subramaniam.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr.Nilesh Ranpura, Senior ASIC Engineer e-info chips Pvt. Ltd. on growing opportunities and challenges in the engineering domain.
The second expert talk was delivered by Ms.Harsha Bhole, Principal SQA engineer BMC Software India pvt. Ltd. on software testing: opportunities and challenges.

The next expert talk was delivered by Mr.Ramesh Kharat, Consultant Priar web technologies on cloud computing.

Alumni talk was given by Ms. Arushi Shetty, Senior System Engineer, Infosys.

This was followed by a very effective and attractive panel discussion conducted by industry experts Mr.Nilesh Ranpura, e-infocips pvt. ltd, Mr.Ramesh Kharat, Priar web Technologies, Alumnus Ms. Arushi Shetty, faculty representative Prof.Nirmol Munvar, student representatives Geetanjali Sahoo, Amar Chouhan and Nikita Gedam.

The Student Council was announced by student council faculty coordinator Prof.Nirmol Munvar. The day concluded with a beautiful evening with performances of SAKEC Studio and Silver Steppers, SAKEC.
