“Mobile App Development Using Flutter”- January 2025

The SAKEC Robo Club, in collaboration with the ECS Department, organized a session, “Mobile App Development using Flutter” on January 25, 2025, at Lab 202 from 10:00 am to 4 pm. Mr. Manohar Acharya was the speaker of this event and Prof Manjusha Kulkarni was the Event Coordinator.

Students learned Dart Language from scratch in this session, which forms the foundation of App Development using Flutter. The session covered how the mobile applications work behind the scenes, with practical demonstrations of API Testing. In addition, version controlled systems like Git and GitHub were introduced, teaching the students how to collaborate efficiently on app development projects.

The program facilitated hands-on experience and deepened the understanding of mobile app development using Flutter.

The CSI-SAKEC student chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Engineering and SAKEC-IIC 7.0, successfully organized an event, “Flutter Flow: From Ideas to App,” with speaker Prashant R Dalai.

Participants explored Flutter’s core concepts, cross-platform capabilities, and industry adoption. Then, Prashant Dalai demonstrated FlutterFlow’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface for UI design. The session also covered app structuring, seamless page navigation, and best practices for creating efficient and visually appealing applications.

From 6th January to 15th January 2025, the IETE-SAKEC, in association with the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering DepartmentShah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College successfully organized an enriching Industrial Visit to IIRS Dehradun and SCL Chandigarh, attended by 45 enthusiastic students across various academic years.

   – Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Chandigarh: A fascinating exploration of cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
– Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun: Eye-opening sessions on space and remote sensing technologies.

2. Scenic and Historical Destinations:

– Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar: A visit to this historic site, evoking deep respect and remembrance.

– Wagah Border, Amritsar: Witnessed the patriotic flag-lowering ceremony, a moment of national pride.

Our team along with guide Prof. Shikha Singh of “Hybrid Solar Inverter” project, under Research Cell, had the opportunity to visit a Solar Manufacturing company namely Solace Cogen Pvt Ltd, a Solar Photovoltaic Power plant manufacturing Company on 1st Oct 2024 from 10:00 am.
We were welcomed by Sir Mahesh Rane who is the CEO of the company. After a brief introduction of the company, Mahesh Sir took us to a nearby site where they had installed solar panels. He explained the whole process to us in detail, how they’re installed, how do
solar panels work, and what all procedures we need to follow while installing them.
In all, the session touched upon various essential aspects related to solar energy in the field.

Department of Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) in association with Indian Society of VLSI Education conducted an outreach program on “Chip Designing and Cyber Security” on 30th August 2024.This outreach program was aimed to inspire the young minds for exploring the semiconductor domain and making the audience aware about the plethora of opportunities for Innovation and development in Electronics and semiconductor domain . This outreach program focuses on the different aspects of chip designing and the attributes required for a candidate to excel in this domain and the impact of cyber security in chip designing. Dr. D. K. Yadav Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur President, Indian Society for VLSI Education Ranchi gave the keynote lecture on Cyber Security and its impact on Chip Designing. Dr Vijay Nath,Associate Professor, VLSI Design Group, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering,,Birla Institute of Technology Mesra Ranchi General Chair, Indian Society for VLSI Education Ranchi gave an expert talk on Chip Designing and also gave insights on the Semiconductor mission and the expected contribution of youngsters for making the dream of Vikshit Bharat a reality by 2047.
